some people binge on food i occasionally binge shop. the past holiday weekend sales was a pure example:
exhibit A: cute, its cherries! something about cherries. so-so comfy (kinda hard on the canvas, probably will kill my feet after a distance), cheaper than my keds skimmers but...its going back. i don't need it. i already have 2 pairs of slip and go shoes. :(
do i keep the kimono-style wrap dress? its super soft & comfy. only $25 for a max studio. the pattern is kinda cool but kinda vertigo if i stare at it too long. my only problem is that its only a size 2 but if feels like an 8, could explain the super comfy part. i thought i could use it in a client meeting, but i feel a bit frompy in it. this will probably be going back. i kno, when i speed shop, i don't even bother trying it on especially when the clock is on for these damn sales. ha!
.
exhibit D: cute bowl w/ a kitty looking over. don't need anymore soap dishes. it was cheap. i'd waste gas going back to that store to return it. so i guess it'll be my lil' junk bowl along w/ the other junk bowls. i have a problem here. kinda. not really. ha!
well, thats just a small peek in the binge shopping i had this past weekend. thank god it doesn't happen often and i don't have the space for it. so, i've got a corner of stuff all ready to return before it all shows up on my credit card. eeeek!
i'm posting but just in the neighborhood.
trying to organize my library of books. so, i ordered more shelving so i could build it to 9ft tall (yes, we have tall ceilings). before we had a house, we use to buy a lot of books. impulse & pleasure. expensive & cheap. i lugged a lot of books home from traveling. some came through the mail and some were gifts. since having a home, we haven't been as crazy as we were then. mostly because funds are now used to fix up this old house & two we don't have any place to put them. i still have books in boxes well over five years. i'm ready to weed through them and get rid of what i don't want anymore. i've already put up a few on amazon to sell, which will go towards paying off these shelves. I've only gone through 1/8th of the books i'm keeping by category. alphabetizing would have been a nightmare. now lets be real, i'm not that organized. ha!
in other news: the madness is almost over. the project that i've been working on since Jan (when i literally got off the plane from Mexico) is about to launch. spring officially starts next week, i'm ready to start gardening as the weather gets warmer. woohoo!
